16 Ideas for Website Content Pages

As a follow up to my post on the best resources for getting inspired for website content ideas here are 16 ideas for creating useful, original and great content that will help your visitors and provide the content that search engines crave.

Remember that the more content you add to your site the more pages of your site will be indexed in the SERPS and provide more and more exposure to your website.

1. Lists - Lists related to your niche are some of the most favored web content by Internet surfers. Great original lists also can attract links from other webmasters. They are fun and easy to create and they provide what website surfers crave most, simple and effective information that is easy to read.

Examples of Lists: Best, Worst, Top, Favorite, Most Popular, Most Read, 10 ways, 10 Methods for, 10 best, 10 worst, 5 types, 10 easiest, 20 benefits of…the list can go on and on.

2. Tutorials, Guides and How-To’s – These apply to pretty much any website topic or niche. Even e-commerce sites can use these to create great original content for their websites.

4. Related Subjects – There are tons of related subjects to write about in any niche. Think synonyms! For example if you are selling jeans, you can write about fashion industry news. If you are selling ringtones you can write about music news.

5. Product Reviews – This is especially great content for e-commerce and affiliate websites that focus on certain products.

6. News, Trends and Events – Write about the latest news in your niche, like product launches, trends or anything else that is being talked about. This is a great way to make your website fresh and current.

11. About Us Pages - Write an about page that details what your site is about, what products you offer or services you provide.

12. Biographies – good one if relevant to your niche.

13. Pros of Shopping Online – This is a great way to showcase the savings of your product or service as well as a great opportunity to suade readers and visitors about the benefits of shopping online.

14. Comparisons – People love comparison shopping, you can create some great website content pages that compare similar brands, products and services.

15. Videos – Go to YouTube and search for your keyword and you will find hundreds of related videos. Many times they are great how-to’s and guides. You can then get the code and paste the actual video on your site. This can be a great way to create lots of content pages. Or if you have the equipment you can always make your own videos which is even better!

16. PLR Articles - PLR stands for Private Label Rights and these are articles that either gotten for free or bought from a service or website. You can use them as you wish, but make sure to rewrite them and make then original. This is much better for search engines. Do not just copy them as they are because lots of other people have all ready done that!
